I'm really enjoying this but I have to say I Won't Back Down is pretty terrible. It's like he has no idea how the song even goes and is accentuating the wrong words. Compare this version to Vancouver 03 and it's pretty sad.

Ever hear the version that opened the show 3/9/94?

Ed solo, and magical!
Is that the Green Habit version? I love that one for sure.

Just checked out the GH comp tracklist... The version of I Won't Back Down there is from 2003... not the one I mentioned. As to the comp, itself... It looks WAY too disjointed, and spans too wide a margin of time for my liking... I have a lot of those concerts in their entirety, which is my preferred method of listening.
The version I mentioned from 1994 opened the show. Listened to the show the other night as part of my 20 year nostalgia trip... The Easter show from '94 is on the horizon for me... Always thought of it as THE peak live moment for the band, if I had to choose only one.

awesome, thanks.
looking at the tracklist info- i assume if the song was played more than once this tour (speed of sound, after hours, can't keep, etc.) you simply selected the best performance and the "days since" responds to the first play of the tour? i like that bit of info added. i don't there will be any song that beats let me sleep's 7006 days between outings.

Got it in one Andy - though it was tempting to just use the first play of those multiple-play tracks, I wanted the comp to sound as good as it could so I went for the best performance in each case.
Looking at pjdb.net's chart, the only thing that could beat Let Me Sleep's record is if they played Just A Girl or Angel (both very unlikely).
Fun fact: Get Right is the only 'proper' album track that hasn't been played at least once in the last ten years.

You're right, there's very few versions where Ed gets it right. The one from 1994 was good, but I don't like when he uses an electric guitar. I think the best version is from the Gorge 2006, night 2. He played it with an acoustic and got the majority of the words right.

Love the '94 version... just Ed and his electric... started the show... then the whole band kicked into Go.

I listened to that version last night on your recommendation. It's really good but I still think Vancouver 03 is better. It's in my top 5 alltime Ed solo performances, he's never sounded better.
