I went to 12 shows on the 2000 tour.
Virginia Beach- I wanted to be at their first show back so we went at the last minute. It's Okay.
Columbus- because of the ticket distribution people would always mill around the ticket booths looking for upgrades. I had a lawn seat so I took a look. Met a kid selling a fourth town 10c ticket for face value. We have been buddies ever since. He lives in Pittsburgh and I live in Buffalo.
Jones Beach (all3)- Great shows. Night 3 was great. Middle show was on the radio.
Saratoga Springs- beautiful venue. Show was during Travers week and Saratoga was bumping. I'm surprised they haven't been back since.
Philadelphia (night2)- I just remember thinking how in the world did I miss breath last night. Beautiful Footsteps
Pittsburgh- I Got You and the whole wash umbrella sticks to my mind. But I also remember the venue losing control and the aisles filling in with people. Big Pete would not of been happy.
Toronto- Worst seats all tour. Way up top the ACC.
Montreal- My first time in Montreal. Was almost killed my scalpers trying to sell uppers at 4x face valid for telling a dude with his money out they has lowers inside behind the stage for face. Loudest indoor venue I have been to.
Detroit- had a cool sort of side stage ticket with a great view of Matt Cameron. Took pictures before the show in front of the Silverdome in honor of WMIII. Crossed the border after the show and gambled at a sweet casino. I don't remember winning.
Vegas- PJ 10 Can't Help Falling and COT. I debated between Vegas and Seattle for one last west coast show. I'm glad I picked Vegas because if I had already been to Seattle I probably wouldn't have went to Benaroya. Benaroya is my favorite of my 69 shows. Plus, I have been to PJ10 and PJ20. That is kind of cool.
Favorite Show: Columbus Favorite Song: Light Years at Virginia Beach Best Seats: C-Bus Best Crowd: Montreal Best Venue: SPAC Best City: Vegas Worst City/Venue: Camden, NJ Biggest Snub:0-12 on Release went 0-21 before finally hearing it at State College in 03

what did they do in 00? i got general sale tickets, and in 03 i got one of my shows through the fan club, had to send in a money order and a request for a show and wait a month( or more i cant remember) to see if tickets showed up in your profile,
I beleive your seats were pre-determined in '00, but you could only get 10C tickets to ONE show, period. In '03, you could do as many as you want and tickets were given out in blocks by senority, thus the long lines to get the best seats in the block. I waited in many lines for many hours. It was quite frustrating at times, but at least you knew you were getting tickets (unlike now).
No. It was by blocks still. The first person to pick up their tickets in that block, got the best seats in that block, regardless of fan club #

I hit up St Louis, Kansas City, and Phoenix on this tour. These were my 2nd - 4th shows, having only attended the lackluster Phoenix 1998 show. St Louis was such a special show. Still one of my favorite setlists ever, and it was pretty neat to hear the premier of "U" live. Such a great energy the entire night both from crowd and band standpoints. I still list this as my favorite PJ show. KC the next night was also nice, but it could not hold up to the previous night in St Louis. Phoenix was pretty spectacular, as well, but it always gets overshadowed by Vegas the following night. Perhaps because it was almost the same setlist with the exception of a couple of songs (including Crown of Thorns and Can't Help Falling in Love). Definitely my favorite tour (went to shows in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009).

Very jealous - St Louis 2000 is probably my overall favourite official bootleg
Saw Greensboro, Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville and Pittsburgh.
Greensboro - solid show. Got to see Smile. Really enjoyed the Binaural songs live and DTE>SOLAT was a monster in the encore.
Atlanta - Maybe the best the band has sounded out of all of my shows. They were tight and intense. The Daughter tag is still one of my favorites.
Memphis - Punk version of Can't Help Falling in Love and the first Baba O'Riley I had seen. I was in near the back of this basketball arena for this show and seeing 15,000 people go ape shit with the lights up during Baba is a memory I'm glad I have.
Nashville - Ed's voice wasn't in top form and the weather was too hot. (Wish I saw Nashville 3 years later)
Pittsburgh - Arguably the best show I've ever seen. Ed's shpeil about the 2nd to last night always being the best is bullshit. The last night of the tour topped them all. Preset: Trouble, Dead Man, Parting Ways, Naked Eye (I could left happy). We gave the 18 year old security guard 10 bucks and he let us walk down the 4th row center. Whoever had the seats didn't show up and when Even Flow opened the show I knew we were in for it. 30 songs, a great Daughter tag, and some of the best versions of songs I've heard (Even Flow, I Got Shit, In My Tree, Breakerfall, Once, Wash)
I never really got used to Sonic Youth
I'll have to check out St. Louis. I've never given it a spin.
On this tour, I went to Jones Beach 2 and Saratoga. Was meh on Jones Beach other than the It's Okay tag, which was great. Saratoga was an excellent show.
I have always felt a little let down when it comes to listening to the US tour, mostly because the songs are played essentially by the numbers (except for Thin Air which they manage to screw up on almost every stop) without much jamming or extension of the songs, and I just felt they sounded better before and after, save for some really powerful shows that were unbelievable, at least on CD (Seattle 2, Jones Beach 3, Chicago, and Pittsburgh were the shows I remember really sticking out). The European tour all sounded amazing, and I'd love to have the time one day to play each of these bootlegs consecutively like I did when they were all first released. I particularly loved Katowice 2, Milan, one of the two London shows, and one of the two Lisbon shows. This should all be tempered by the fact that these were all experienced on CD and not at the show itself. IMO, of the shows I attended, I went 1 for 2, and sadly consider Jones Beach 2 as perhaps the least enjoyable Pearl Jam show I attended along with the Hartford '98 show and Hershey '03. They were still fun, but failed to live up to the rest.
It was at JBII. It was a good show, and its a really good setlist. Its one of my favorite boots actually.
But, the venue itself diminished the live experience for me. Unless you are sitting in the front main section (which I wasn't), the sound just carries off into the ether. Hard to really get engaged with the band. Not to mention the ridiculously strict alcohol codes they have in place there.
west palm 8/9. i listen to the 'paralyzed improv' a ton. the only time i have ever had someone say anything to me about the music playing from my car, was a 60 year old women who was getting into her car from the post office and she said to me, 'nice tunes' with a smile. i have no idea if she knew it was pearl jam or eddie vedder or she just enjoyed the music of 'paralyzed' as much as i do.
boston 8/29. chud was there dancing and using devil sticks the enire show. i met my first online galpal at this show. it was terrible. she had sent me a picture a few days earlier but i didnt want to look at it. after the months of talking about pj online i didn't want to ruin anything by looking at that picture. anyway we meet right after 'of the girl' which is the worst opener ever, and im not attracted in the least. half way through the show she tries to kiss me. i reluctantly agreed. the months that followed i was a little distant but she was needy because she invited me to seattle to see the shows.
seattle 11/5 & 6. yes i should have said no to her but she got the tix and wanted me to go. i knew she was going to try to start things up again but i thought i could go as a friend. we stayed in a hotel together and she tried to kiss me again and later apologized. i cast my florida absentee ballot for nader in seattle. anyway i really thought pj might break up so these shows really felt important to me. the seattle II betterman tag is in my top 5 'parts of songs i could loop for hours'
