I was at this show and it wasn't that great of an experience live. My seats kinda sucked and the audio feed sounded muffled and distant for some reason. It's hard to explain but the energy was lacking for me big time even though I was totally freakin' out by how awesome the setlist was. Well, after listening to it recently, I'm just blown away by how great this show is. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's in the market for a new boot.
Highlights:
Hard to Imagine (opener!)
All Night (w/ backing vocals)
Corduroy (killer version)
Down (always one of my fav live songs)
Who You Are (great version of a song I've never head played live before and a really cool outro)
Whipping (always a kickass rocker live)
1/2 Full (same as above)
Love Reign O'er Me
W.M.A. (another of my fav old school songs that I've been dying to hear a full version live)
Leash
All Along the Watchtower
Indifference (might be my fav PJ closer, a nice change of pace from the predictable YL or RITFW)
Where I was sitting the energy that night was tremendous. Most intense crowd energy I've ever been part of in the US. That was my best live PJ experience. I think it was my 4th or 5th show.

Yeah, I was in the 300-level sections that night, and can say I thought the energy was really intense in there. The only MSG show I can remember where the energy was poorest was maybe the very first one (9/10/98). And even then the energy was pretty good. Oh, and on night 2 in '08 when they played No More. That was the first time I ever wished I was not sitting in Fan Club seats.

Yea, I'm definitely gonna blame the seats I had. But when I listen to the boot I can easily picture myself right in the front row. I love the versions of Who You Are and WMA.

Did the 25th. Opened with release, guess that was pretty cool. Had floor tix waay in the back. Wasn't one of my better shows. Can't win em all. 2010 was fun.

The whole vinyl is glorious...my god, what an energy...and let my love open the door is great.

I doubt there's anything inherently better about the vinyl pressing of that boot than lossless digital media.

With that said, I would love to own that on wax.

it sure is a great addition to my collection...regardless of the sound, the songs are great.

Saturday, while spending hours raking for the first time this spring, I used the 1st MSG show from 2010 as my background. Great great show that got totally overshadowed by the show the very next night.

I was very excited about watching the setlists in both Australia and Japan in 2003.

Those Japan shows are all just incredible. I wish they'd have the balls to go back but they're too chickenshit of subdued shows now.
