Question for anyone still here, was there a favorite version of Alive from 2018 that anyone thought stood out? Asking for a friend making a mix.

Man, I dont think there's been a standout version of Alive in the last 15 years.

Nürnberg, 11 June 2000.

I've had this for nineteen years now, and I've probably listened about two times prior to today. This one definitely deserves more love. I forgot how much I loved the improv.

When Mike jumped into Little Wing at the end of Ledbetter and then the whole band jumped in sans Eddie. It was a culmination of years of waiting for me and probable most of the audience. I am sure everyone there had heard the Summerfest 1995 show at some point in their fandom and then here it was, full band. The next night with Eddie singing the lyrics was icing on the cake.

not 2018, but the R&R HoF performance is easily their standout version from the past 15 years or more...

...with Cruisin' Dave Krusen behind the kit and a great, steady tempo.

Atlantic City 2005. Might be the best version of Long Road I've ever heard.

I listened to Philly '05 last week and had forgotten about the electricity issue during Crazy Mary, it is also just a tremendous show all around in my opinion. I then listened to the Missoula Vault release today and I know it was the first gig on the tour but they sound like two different bands.

I've said it countless times on this board, but to me, the Canada/US 2005 tour is the peak live-PJ.

word. the two Newfoundland shows are great.

and the 2005 boots are certainly mixed well, compared to other tours available.

If only FLAC files of them existed. Then they would be perfect.

Not originally though, right? Only later? I may be misremembering, but I thought MP3 was the only option for the initial release.

correct. originally, only mp3, but they're available in FLAC on nugs.net, or whatever resource you use for pj boots.

I don't think I realized that. Granted, I don't seek out boots like I once did.
