The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Set seemed greatest hits laden to me. That's not a surprise given the attendance. 50,000 people tonight and only 15,000 people in Vienna two shows from now. What a difference.

According to Wikipedia most of the major rock shows at San Siro have had crowds in the mid 50,000 range.
The crowd was really into Release, Go & Corduroy to start - Black felt a little early in the set as it was still light out at that point but worked well sonically after Sirens. Given To Fly was one of the weaker versions I've seen - Ed seemed to blank on the entire first verse. What followed, though, Who You Are and Sad through to the end of the main set were all strong versions. I enjoyed Thin Air & Lukin in particular from encore 1 & Ed's introductions tonight for Just Breathe and Alive set up the songs really well.
Was cool to see Ray Cameron (Matt's son) up there on guitar for Rockin in the Free World.
That sounds cool. Release with such a huge crowd must have been pretty sweet.

Just not what i expected for a show of that size, but usually the ones that look underwhelming on paper, are the better performances..everyone i know that was there last night said it was a religious experience and 'this was the show Wrigley was meant to be'.
However, as far as Ed's lyrical fuck ups go, this one is quite something. He forgets the entire first verse to Given To Fly, and only sings at the first pre-chorus. (Some serious zoom on this camera too!)
