My best encore:
First encore of Gorge 1 2006: Footsteps > Once > Alive > State of Love and Trust > Crown of Thorns > Leash > Porch
Yeah, that'd do it.
The second encore was great too. After a Last Kiss > Inside Job start (though that was better in person than it looks), the show went: Go > Baba O'Riley > Dirty Frank > Rockin' in the Free World > Yellow Ledbetter/(Little Wing).
What a great fucking show that was - easily my best. Man I loved 2006.
This Calgary show looks so amazing so far.
Dirty Frank in between Baba and Free World eh.
And they absolutely nailed it. It's never been my favorite song but that was a very, very special moment.
Did you ever hear the version they did in Marseilles later that year? Don't think I got my hands on that one.
I put it on a 2006 mix. It's only 3 minutes long but all of the important stuff is there. It's fantastic - like a radio edit with all of the important stuff still there. That whole Marseille show is phenomenal - Fatal, Dirty Frank, Satan's Bed, Red Mosquito, the best versions of Leash and Better Man in 2006...all fantastic.
You are making me miss 2006. A lot.
I remembered it was shorter, so I must have heard it. I'll have to find it again.
Is 2006 the biggest discrepancy between quality of album and quality of tour for said album?
You know what did suck about that tour, though - the short Garden. That didn't work. They knew it, too, I think.
Yeah, I didn't like the short Garden either.
You are right about the discrepancy - such a good tour for such a mediocre album. I like S/T a lot more than most people though. By the end of the tour the cream had risen to the top - they were only playing 6-7 songs a night at most and always the good ones. On the whole those songs sound a lot better live than in the studio, too.

Where's Marker gone this tour? Played at all?
Not at all. I bet it comes out in the next three shows. That's my favorite song on S/T. They didn't play at either 2006 show I've seen and they've barely played it since.
