The friend coming with me to Charlotte asked me if Pearl Jam has a skeleton to their setlists (even one that might change from tour to tour). Like, can you predict 8-12 songs are going to show up in the setlist?
I thought the answer was "no," but I don't really know. You guys are the experts ... what's the truth?

Pretty much. Alive, E Flow, Betterman, Corduroy, DTE, GTF, Small Town, YL. Then there's Got Some, Fixer and JB but as its a new album tour they'll be rarer.
Yeah. Especially in the last couple of years. Do The Evolution, The Fixer, Unthought Known, Alive, Yellow Ledbetter, Given To Fly, Just Breathe, Better Man, Black, ect. all get played at most of the shows. They're also becoming very predictable when it comes to the placement of some songs. Better Man, Alive, Black, Just Breathe and a couple others pretty much exclusively get played in the encores.
I don't know about the setlist, but I have it on sound authority that Mike will have a life-sized Halloween decoration named Dr. Lazy Bones that he will be setting up on top of his amplifier for the bulk of the tour. Nothing official yet but rumors of a Panama hat and light-up eyes have all circulated 'round the campfire.

A friend I'm going to the Worcester shows with has basically had me go through this entire thing with him. What's definitely gonna be played, what might be, what's a long shot, etc.
there are certain songs designated "openers". the 2-6 songs live are usually fast rockers. certain songs are played alot at specific spots in the set (rvm to end the main set, alive in the 2nd encore, etc.).
