Remember all those years back when the fan club scrapped seniority and people ‘lost’ their ticket ‘privileges’? The band got sick and tired of looking at the same faces up in the front row every single night wherever they played. For over a decade. To the point where those folks were just sitting die. During the gig and especially if they didn’t like the setlist and it didn’t meet their demands They were mostly all super rich people too which was why they could be there every night. Japan Australia London wherever it was. They’d be there. . Now? Same thing. It’s still super rich people up front who can afford those insane ticket prices for that section. It just gets swapped out now. Europe doesn’t do that. It’s General admission. It’s a pit. It’s democratic( to a point). The only weird ones being the ones who queue up all night outside to make sure they’re on the front rail and wear those depends adult diapers so they don’t lose ‘their’ spot. And woebetied you if you get in their way or in their spot up front.
Pearl jam now is basically rich white guy music. I got invited to that Ohana thing and said no. It’s literally a festival for the obscenely rich and ed has shite taste in music for the most part anyways. Not my world at all and a long way from what I loved that band for to begin with.

All tickets are the same price. Including GA /front row. GA never goes to premium pricing either.

Not really. I’ve seen em in the states 15 times and it’s piss poor in every sense. Seating and stress and zero craic and absolutely no energy during the show. I’d go see them in Europe any day of the week. Friends and pints and hanging out before and after. The show is just an afterthought bonus. But we always appreciate it and give it all. It’s more a family meet up when they’re over here. A jamily if you will haha!
So you only enjoy shows where your cousin can get you in to hang with Ed. Gotcha.
Well that was low.
He never has actually. And the one time he said he would he forgot and I was stood outside the venue in Oslo and couldn’t get a ticket and missed half the gig.
But thanks for that. I’ll remember it.
Well, you basically shit on every Pearl Jam show I’ve been to and described how shows we get here will never be as good as what you get over there.
