The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I think caring about bpms and keys is cool. At least they're musical elements. It's the parasocial weirdos who desperately want to connect with the band personally who skeeve me out

i know its easy to be hard on those weirdos at the pit. checking their phones in the middle of songs to see when it was last played, measuring matt's bpm, what key a song is in, etc. im sure if you know the guy whose wife passed, it was a big deal for him and hopefully helps his grieving process. admittedly, if anyone would do this for attention, it would be someone who posts in the pit regularly. sorry to be mean lol.
I like that this is actually a very kind and compassionate post followed by "sorry to be mean"

I once made a comment over there how I thought people hanging about in the lane by the back entrance hours after the show hoping to meet Ed was a little "rapey". It didnt go over well.

i'll try to be meaner next time lol. i get noticing songs being played faster/slower, but i also think a live setting is going to lead to overall faster tempos. unless its a big key change, i almost never notice when im there.

listened to most of this one, couldn't finish it. there's quite a few songs here where i just thought if you're not feeling it enough to remember it, don't play it. love boat captain, for example. he does a nice little stuttery heart-felt speech to introduce it over boom's intro - then they bust into that totally pointless extra intro jam thing and eventually ed cant even remember how it goes. then i put on live at the garden and calmed down.

They’re all about 60 now. Garden show was like 22 years ago. For context.
