Oh yes, they are great live. Saw them 5 times and everyone of them were killer shows. Mark Arm is a great great frontmen.

Not their best concert in Adelaide but not their worst(Avacado tour).
Neutral fans were impressed I was 4 rows from infront of mike and the "pit" went off.
Ed was happy and in fine form. Not drunk though.
I've seen Pj in Adelaide and in orrder Best concert: yield (thebarton oval) Riot act(entertainment centre) Backspacer( Adelaide oval) Vitalogy( memorial drive) Lightning bolt (bdo- rymal park)

I'm still mystified by this - what didn't you enjoy about those shows?
Not only were they arguably the best shows I've seen the band play, I think the recordings confirm they were among the best shows of the entire tour.
I was staggered to read this too - Adelaide I is easily one of the best shows from the best tours of the last decade.
I love the second show as well. Ed just sounds fantastic.
I'm gonna say it: Some of the European and Australian Avocado shows are more enjoyable boots than anything from 2000 or 2003. These tours especially 2000 were just more consistent.
