Different guys, I think: Dave Krusen plays on 'Akathisia', Ric Peterson on 'Experiment Below'. The drumming on the latter is awesome.

Anyway, it's fair to say Ed was pretty tipsy by that stage of the evening...

His playing has the vibe of a lefty trying to play a right handed kit set up.

Did they closed with Fixx me?

This took me forever to reply to but I think this was the setlist for Adelaide and most of the other BDO sets:

Slipping Away
Suck You Dry
You Got It
1995
In n' Out of Grace
I Like it Small
Flat Out Fucked
Judgement, Rage, Retribution and Thyme
Touch Me I'm Sick
What to Do with the Neutral
I'm Now
The Final Course
Chardonnay
The Only Son of the Widow from Nain

Me either, I only really gave it a cursory listen, but it was really fun show nonetheless.

Oh yes, they are great live. Saw them 5 times and everyone of them were killer shows. Mark Arm is a great great frontmen.

Not their best concert in Adelaide but not their worst(Avacado tour).

Neutral fans were impressed I was 4 rows from infront of mike and the "pit" went off.

Ed was happy and in fine form. Not drunk though.

I've seen Pj in Adelaide and in orrder
Best concert:
yield (thebarton oval)
Riot act(entertainment centre)
Backspacer( Adelaide oval)
Vitalogy( memorial drive)
Lightning bolt (bdo- rymal park)

Gap

Avacado(entertainment centre)

I thought the two 2006 shows, particularly the first night, were incredible.

Way better than this year's, I really didn't enjoy it at all.

I've seen them 5-6 times and I still haven't heard this one live. One of my favorite Mudhoney songs.

Man, being there must have been different than the bootlegs. The 1995 show might be my favorite of that entire tour.

Mine too!

I was chuffed they played it.

You must've been only a person or two in front of me in that case - at least until Given to Fly when we bailed to the back of the crowd.

Truth be told, I went and got us ice-cream through WWS/Once. That was probably the highlight of the set (the ice-cream, not the songs).

I'm still mystified by this - what didn't you enjoy about those shows?

Not only were they arguably the best shows I've seen the band play, I think the recordings confirm they were among the best shows of the entire tour.

Love that recording - I only wish my parents had let me go...

I was staggered to read this too - Adelaide I is easily one of the best shows from the best tours of the last decade.

I love the second show as well. Ed just sounds fantastic.

I'm gonna say it: Some of the European and Australian Avocado shows are more enjoyable boots than anything from 2000 or 2003. These tours especially 2000 were just more consistent.

Ah - no. PJ will be in Europe then.

Ed played Perth on 7th Feb (07/02) and this is listed as 2nd July (02/07) so someone has just screwed up the listing.
