Enjoy it dude. Maybe keep an eye on any strange looking line ups around Auckland tonight too. You never know, some band may do a warm up show.

I'll try and keep an eye out - although I think it might be a bit hopeful them doing a warm-up gig.
You going to any of the Aus shows?

It'd be a long shot.

Sydney sunday week then Vedder in mid Feb.

Nice - hopefully we get a get a good gig, and not just a greatest hits concert

Yeah it'd be nice if they kept a similar structure. There are 10 or so tracks that'll be played every show I think but I do hope they delve into the catalogue a bit.

Any tracks you want to hear in particular? Also, have you seen them many times before?

I saw then in Wellington in 98 and Christchurch 09.

Would love to hear Push Me Pull Me, Sad, Smile or Parting Ways - I doubt I'll get any of those however

That Christchurch show was a good one from memory.

It was pretty damn cool - they were on form that night. Except messing up Marker and playing it in the wrong key

Well it was a pearl jam show. I'd love to see Marker.

Plus he changed the title from Tremor Christ to Tremor Christchurch - then a few months later the city is half destroyed by quakes. Coincidence?

No Fucking Messiah though. That was awful. Were you there at the time? I have a few friends who live in CC, said it was freakiest time. Their kids were rather stressed for awhile.

My best mate from High School/Uni lives down there. His wife had just had their 2nd child before the big one that took the city out hit. Said it was freaky as hell trying to get home and at times seeing portions of the road either lifting or sinking around you. Went down there a few months back - things look alright in most of the suburbs but the city center is still toast

That leads me to believe this is the first time they played together as a band since the end of the NA tour.

Were you expecting different?

I would have guessed they just would have strummed a few bars backstage before going out. Their last show was like 5 weeks ago, that's like just a couple minutes in PJ-time. Could have just left it for the crew to make sure the sound is right.

Yeah, it's only really been a few weeks since the last show, I don't think it's surprising that they haven't played together since then.

I'm just thrilled they're working on MFS!
