Amazon Exclusive Show (from 2011??)

Sat July 17, 2021 2:26 pm

Some guy at Record Store Day was telling me that he had a digital file of a show that Amazon released exclusively around 2011. He didn't know the date or the venue (Maybe Fox Theater). I find it odd there is a show out there that I don't have access to, but he said it was only available from Amazon for a short time.

Any idea what this guy is talking about?

I figure I'm gonna throw away his number.

I feel like he's talking about the AOL session and is confused

or maybe he's thinking of Let's Play Two, which Amazon has in their library?

Congrats, B, you met a guy who has no idea what he's talking about.

I figured that was true before I posted.

He was just a guy who thought he was doing a casual fan a favor.

As far as I can remember, there has only been 1 digital “official bootleg” that was distributed outside of Pearl Jam / 10 Club / Digital Partners of a given tour (Basecamp, Kufala, Nugs, etc). Lollapalooza 2007 was an iTunes exclusive. There have been no exclusive Amazon digital or physical concert releases.

for awhile, anyway, the lolla 07 show was also officially downloadable from livedownloads.com (run by nugs, but well before the band ever partnered with them). the direct link to the show was http://lolla.livedownloads.com/show.asp?show=2073, but now redirects to a 'stash' page with only the few lolla 06 jam band sets remaining. not sure when that download window ran out and it became itunes only, though.

I wonder what formats livedownloads offered? IIRC, iTunes only offered mp3. I'd love an official release FLAC. The FLAC I have is a rip from the webcast.

There's definitely a lossless version of the official boot, as I have it.

My version has been re-encoded to ALAC however, so hopefully there's someone out there with the native FLAC files.

i might still have the flacs, actually. will look and see. pretty sure livedownloads offered flac and mp3 at the time, maybe alac if that was an option.

Wow, after all these years, I missed this somehow. It's token time at Redacted so I grabbed it there. Thanks team!

Now if someone could just upload those Josh Evans remixes, I'll have everything. I think.

The iTunes version omits No More. Does the LiveDownloads version omit it too?

It was a live "Once" released in conjunction with the Ten re-release in 2009 if you preordered it. I believe it was 10/6/91.
