The 2008-2010 boots were terrible.
Yeah shows recorded from that era sound so dry and crisp. They lack the "warmth" & fullness of other years. I do wonder if it was the technology at the time? Metallica shows between '09-'10 were recorded like that as well.

It had something to do with their normal bootleg guy taking a few years off or being unavailable if I remember correctly.

yes, the 2008 boots are the worst. Also, they were super sloppy that tour.
I like the 2009 boots and performances enough. ACL 09 is a fucking great show.
I've got a few from all 3 years. I just don't listen to them as much as others. The last run through TX & California is pretty amazing. The Aussie/NZ run was pretty awesome as well. I found an extra copy of LA 3 (the show with Hunger Strike featuring Cornell) for $3 at the local used shop. I keep it in the car.
2009 you are talking right? yeah, i love that tour.
You should get ACL 09, its fuuuucking awesome. Perry Farrell comes to do Mountain Song and the band is on fire. Ben Harper on steel guitar during Red Mosquito is super wild too

I’m impressed with you guys listening to so many shows.
Favorite part of my job is being able to listen to music. I usually get through 3 shows a shift. Sometimes I'll even get "adventurous" and switch it up to some live Stones/Doors/RHCP etc.

I have my moments with PJ boots. Back in the day i used to download them as they were put out, and listen a shows for like 2 or 3 days while i went to work or at home. These days i tend to listen to a few shows from every tour, last year i dive a little bit more into 2003, a few shows of 2018..i like to jump around a little bit more i guess.
