Is this anyone else's favorite year for the band? Especially live. I love when Ed's voice is completely shot, like Blood from Salt Lake City. They were at their most interesting period as a band. I mean, Kurt was dead, they recorded with Neil and the Fastbacks opened.
They stop mid song to break up a fight.
So many good boots--Red Rocks, San Diego, Solider Field. I love 95.

Soldier Field 7/11 and San Diego 11/7 were two of the very first Pearl Jam boots I ever had. I paid about $45 each for them and played them into oblivion.
Awesome year for sure....the tour was great, some cool boots, cool moments...and they did another great proyects too, Mike and Mad Season; Eddie with Mike Watt, the whole band with Neil Young.
For some reason I`m not really into this tour. While the shows are intense they are a bit too "grungy" or "dirty" for my taste. I find the setlists a bit strange too. I much prefer the 94 and 96 shows from this period.
But maybe there are many great shows hidden that I have not yet listened to because of bad audio quality.
i cant remember if they have played it since, but i know "Let my love open the door" was played a few times, thats one i would love to see back in the setlists
I don't know if it's my favorite year, but it's certainly one of the most interesting to hear boots from. It's like they're figuring out what the band is as they go.
