The Austin show from September was great sound for an audience recording... opens with Act Of Love, they cover a snippet of REM's 'Talk About The Passion,' very extended versions of RVM and Porch (although there was a strange pa outage during Porch), I Got Shit, TC, and Daughter were especially awesome, as was the entire show!
Does anybody know if the ridley remaster of 1995-03-17 melbourne sounds better than the rarified & live promo release?
I personally prefer the Sony promo but it's up to your own tastes. I find the sony promos for both Atlanta and Melbourne to be a bit crisper and stripped back with better separation of instruments/vocals. The remasters were admittedly trying to make them sound like the official boots which are a bit 'warmer' I guess, for want of a better word.
In terms of best shows, Osaka is awesome as mentioned previously. I love the Aussie shows too, but it is hard to find a bad one to be honest, despite Eddie's shredded voice in the latter part of the tour. Even San Fran is awesome with Neil Young coming on to play the reminder of the show following Ed's withdrawal due to sickness.
With t he announcement of Soldier Field being the next vault show, I've gone back to have a closer listen to this - it really is an awesome show with fantastic energy. DEspite my own views on whether it should be the next vault release, it will be awesome regardless.

Was watching a YouTube video of the full concert of 6/20/1995 in Morrison, CO. I wanted to see their cover of "Old Man". That song was cut out of the video. :/

With all of this being said, did they ever cover "Old Man"? The song list also says they covered it, albeit the Colorado show
Not that I've ever heard, but I haven't heard everything. Not even close. Maybe they performed a snippet of it or as a tag during Daughter? Their website's Tour History is an unruly mess ..

I thought this was common knowledge by now....
Many of the "covers" listed on the songlist are brief references if anything.
Yeah I just found it odd that it was listed on the show setlist as well as the songs played by the band list. I also find it surprising that all the crazy fans on the Pit haven't had it corrected by now

I always forget that the Pit exists until you mention it again.

They're certainly crazy but i think you're overestimating the knowledge they have about the band's actual music. It all seems largely OMG EDDIE, merch, vinyl, posters, etc.
It's like George Harrison's observation about Beatlemania and how it really had nothing to do with them or their music, people just used it as an excuse to go crazy. In a way it bothers me to see the band's official "fan club" actively encourage that kind of weirdness (on a smaller scale) but oh well.
A 1995 offering today. That should be good in theory but I worry because I don't think Jack is that amazing on Dave's material, and he won't be able to play any of his own since its before No Code.
