Yea Ed was lip syncing but it was a live vocal take. It is what the song will sound like when they perform on stage.
I’m pumped with how great Ed sounded. Also enjoy that they made something more of it and did the best they could being AT HOME. Weird lights. Candles. Whatever.
That was fantastic.

I get that it was a live vocal that he was lip syncing. And I definitely don't disagree that it sounded great. Had I just listened to the audio - I'd probably have a completely different opinion of the performance. But the visual performance just wasn't my thing. Regardless, it really does make me more impatient now more than ever to see them live again - can't wait to hear some more of the new material... Maybe if I watch it again I'll appreciate it more as I won't have any expectations and appreciate it for what it is.

Gush about it now, but tomorrow you're gonna wake up and realize the sheer idiocy of the Electric PJ Acid Test
You’re right!
Oh wait, nope. There’s more important shit to worry about. It was fun and sounded great, and they weren’t the only ones that did that last night. Would have preferred them all together but they’re pushing 60 and don’t want to take chances. I’m guessing Jeff hasn’t even left his Montana bunker.

I never once stated that they should have been in one room.

When did I say you did?
Well you copied my quote, told me I'm wrong because I should be worrying about other things, and then defended why they weren't in the same room together. It's kind of assumed that your comments were directed at me since you quoted me.
They clearly put some thought into how each person would be portrayed/shot and had fun with it. I'm not bothered by Ed lip syncing at all. It was a "performance".
Guys, all things having gone to plan, I'd be in Germany right now heading out to see PJ for the second time this tour. I know it's a while since the tour was actually cancelled and maybe a lot of the disappointment has worn off but I thought I'd be way more bummed when these show date came around.
Honestly, it's only occurred to me today I missed a show on Tuesday and another tonight, and I'm actually still joyous about last night's performance. Like it's pretty shit but what can you do? A least there was some PJ fun to get excited about.
This concert was a great distraction. As low as expectations may have been, and as brief and goofy as the performance turned out to be, it has definitely raised my spirits. Hopefully in a couple of months or whatever we can get an actual live performance of more songs with the guys all in the same (socially-distanced) room (or warehouse?) and that will be another boost. Here's hoping!
