The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
That was such a disappointment at the show. I remember him not coming in when he was supposed to. The sound wasn't on for him yet or some shit. Saw him ripping pissed i think.

Guys, I am not a moderator! I swear to God! Why does everyone think I'm a moderator?

It's ok. I saw him play it two nights in a row, so I enjoyed it for you one of the nights

Are they still using RAT sound? They’re so successful yet I’ve never been to a RAT show that sounds good. As a general rule, outdoor shows should sound better unless you’re way back on the lawn.

I hung near the soundboard at Ohana Encore and their gear boxes had the rat painted on them.

It’s so funny when you listen to bootlegs from the 60-70s, the tone on everything is just so much better. Whatever they were doing then, they should just go back to that.

Totally baseless assumption but: Anything to do with the fact they didn't have the power/capabilities of really cranking sound out to large audience like they do now and that was then an easier controlled environment when recording/mixing the live shows?

Yeah that’s more or less my assumption too. Plus the low end extension. I feel like house engineers today are like “ooh this 60Hz knob looks interesting…”
Josh Evans loves the low end. The live Video releases were all pretty heavy on the low end. Its good to an extent because Ament is where he should be but it seems to all be at the expensive of the cutting guitars.
Also, again, dont like Stones guitar tone. I hope he moves on from this come full tour....
