The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I've been saying the same thing this whole time. You keep misunderstanding me and taking my words out of context. This is dumb. You're just trying to "beat" me at this somehow and it shouldn't even be a competition. It's all cause you started this whole thing by "durrr" mocking me and my opinion. And of course anytime there's any sort of conflict with tree_ on the board you'll see wease is the first one to pile on.
Not really. I stay out of the vast majority of the arguments against you. This particular issue, however, I will fight until one of us is in the grave. Or you finally figure out how wrong you are.

Tying it all together
I can play a Chad Smith song. You’ll know it’s not him playing, but I can do it. On the other hand it would take a ton of very dedicated practice to play a Danny Carey song and if it involves a lot of fast double bass, forget about it. Playing super super fast also difficult regardless of time signature.
Different players have a different style/groove/musical personality. 4/4 is also easier (more natural) than anything else. Both are concurrently true.
Do you have a double bass pedal?

Just to prove my point, wease has no problem with what bammer said, which is very close to exactly what I was saying. He really does just hate my guts and it's sad, but I know that ultimately it's not about me or what I'm saying and there's nothing I can do about it.

You’ve never said anything about groove or anything like that. Your whole argument is that you could play a Peppers song as good as Chad Smith and you were called out on it. Of course different time signatures are different than playing a common 4/4 but there’s nothing inherently more difficult about playing in something other than that. Is Outshined by Soundgarden or Money by Pink Floyd “harder” to play than Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer because they’re in 7/4? I don’t think so. So it all comes down to finding the groove. Which goes back to your original comment that you NEVER understood the reasons you were wrong. Which was that Chad Smith brings MUCH more the the drummer’s throne even tho he “only” plays 4/4 time signatures. Bammer understands that. You do not.
And I don’t hate you tree_. I think you are supremely and transcendently wrong about a number of things. And yes, I have argued with you on a few of them. But I don’t hate you.

I don’t think I can play as good as Chad Smith. But, like bammer said, because the parts are simple enough, I could do a serviceable job filling in for him with some practice. That’s all I meant. And that it would take more work to fill in for someone like Danny Carey, and I may never get there. Again, what bammer said. You’re misunderstanding me. It isn’t even about me. I don’t claim to be a great drummer. I just find those kinds of parts more boring. If you like that kind of stuff, more power to you
