The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Not sure what people are expecting setlist wise nowadays….those marathon shows had 30 songs but the band didn’t sound great, and tired Eddie ain’t great Eddie, plus a lot of the covers they were playing were meh or overplayed….they’ve put out so many good albums they don’t need covers….and trying to please everyone would be impossible….just be happy the band is a) touring b) playing well and c) not just playing stupid ballparks
This was my 9th show involving either full band or earthlings since Ohana this past year - I thought last night was the best of the bunch. SoCal people are spoiled with so many shows in such a short time frame.
I had a great time. The band and Ed sounded very good. The only song that I thought didn't sound good was Mind Your Manners' I don't think that's just because I don't like it, but it's hard to tell. It sounded garbled to me. Besides that the sound was really good. I was also dead center so that might have helped.
Random thoughts: --I wanted Release as the opener so that was awesome --I was underwhelmed by the crowd's energy. It felt like a more casual audience --Very excited to get Seven O Clock and I really enjoyed it, but it felt like I was one of about 15 people who knew the song. --Re: set list order complaints people had earlier I thought the beginning run was phenomenal. Love the slow burn build up of Release into Given to Fly and Do the Evolution. And I love Low Light so I can't imagine ever being unhappy to get it regardless of its placement in the set. --I know Garden isn't very popular around here but that's another one I absolutely love and I think the only time I've gotten it before was when they were doing that weird intro thing years ago so that was a highlight. --The setlist was hits friendly but like I said it felt like a more casual audience so I think the show was probably better for having this kind of set. --Love Leash, another nice surprise --Hopefully they'll play more Saturday shows next time they tour --Was that really Chris Brown at the airport? No entourage so I'm leaning no.
