The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

After the last minute cancellation on the day before (plus Vienna's and Prague's), I could not believe they would actually play, but they delivered. The crowd was on fire, and you could feel that the band fired all cylinders to make up for the missed 3 shows. The beginning of the set was incredible and the band seated most of the time (except Stone, as in Red Rocks '95), Eddie seemed much more comfortable on these songs where his voice really shined. W.M.A. was my personal highlight, I never expected to hear it, and Josh brought some needed with toms in addition to Matt's drumkit.
The show seemed to switch to a regular one with Why Go and Even Flow, but there were still several surprises. For my 5th show on this tour, Porch was once again the last song of the main set, but Mike was on fire, with Eddie striking some notes on his Stratocaster. For the encore, the roadies were brought on the stage as a thanks to their work, and I did not expect Do the Evolution given the fragile state of Eddie's voice. But it looked like the doctor made miracles (https://twitter.com/stefanraatgever/sta ... 9q-6B3I8GA ) in just 24 hours. The "extended" ending with Alive / Indifference / Rockin' in the Free World (with Mike smashing and destroying a guitar over one of his amps) was a perfect ending for this European leg. I still miss some elements from the "old" Pearl Jam (mainly more songs and more focus on the flow of shows) but that night was a much needed celebration given the past week.
Notes: Shame played a great opening set, with a warm welcome from the audience. I can't wait to hear their third album that should soon be out. The opening music was The Greatest by Cat Power, as on few other dates (in London and Paris at least).

wow. just catching up on these. not trying to be the village troll, but:
NAIS was not acoustic
WMA sounded terrible. Matt should seriously consider killing himself for how those drums sound
Ed sounded horrible, almost every one of his breathy and vocal tics used to make up for his busted throat
i feel bad for the guy
he really should stop smoking
bring back Richard S

Obviously some of this set list was designed with Ed’s throat issue in mind, but it’s a bit confusing whether the the unique setlist was meant to be treating the fans because of the cancellations or not?

For a variety of (personal) reasons I'm actually very happy with the choice I made.
I like everything I've heard from that show. A show doesn't have to be 1998 Pearl Jam to be a treat.

I was just being a dick. Glad you enjoyed your travels and show.
I know, no worries. I haven't been on here much, if at all, basically since getting a wife & a Twitter account, but I still know not to take anything personal.

Finally found a video of Pilate. Sounded pretty good to me, though Ed doesn't really sing the chorus much, just the audience, which is pretty annoying to listen to.
