The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
This has been discussed in some other threads, but in what ways can the band improve their live shows? I think we can all agree the band is still capable of putting on a great show, but things are missing. What can be done? Retirement is not an answer.
Less covers. Less Ten. Every album should be represented at each show. The mega hits should be played a little less - maybe 75% of the time. I love the set list formula, but it's tired.

Have a sense of why they're playing and what they want to achieve musically which goes beyond simply pleasing the audience.
There's no reason they can't work within their current limitations to make something musically and creatively compelling, they just need to have a desire to do that.
The shows now lack any kind of focus and the stadiums surely don't help - I don't think it's possible to play great music in that environment.

i'm starting to suspect that PJ's involvement with the Cubs and stadium tours is just part of a big marketing plan by Major League Baseball to grow their audience
You know I was actually thinking the return to the basebal stadiums - other than montnana - had a lot to do with Tom petty passing. He played all those places on his last tour.
