THeres no need for them to add two minutes of solos and YEAH YEAH YEAHs and HEEES before they even get to the lyrics on the bridge. And I hate that he doesnt jsut go for the melody. There are so many songs that he tries anyways. This one is one where he actually should just go for it.
I agree with all of this, but it is what it is, this is Corduroy now.
I'm only about 6 songs in and I think it sounds great so far; Release was very good (not as good as the '10 or '06 versions, but still very nice). I do remember Ed's voice struggling later in the shows (well documented in this thread), but I am looking forward to getting to Tremor Christ, which I remember he over-performed on.
Yeah, I listen to shows in 5-6 song batches now. Not ideal, just how my schedule goes.

It's fine...but why did Ed feel the need to talk over the intros to so many songs these two nights? That and the insertion of Fenway-related lines into so many songs really hurts their re-listenability.
Is there any way to see the full recording of this? I know they recorded it because they aired it at House of Blues. Is there any way to see this? There's a vid on youtube of the full show but its black and white for the first half because it was taken from the video screens (unless that's what they aired which I hope not).
