they should do a vault release that's cassette-only and you have send blanks+postage to 10c

Berlin was released as a professional promo. None of the vault releases so far fall into that category.

I'm sure a lot more shows were multi-tracked besides San Sebastian and Berlin.

Brett Eliason did an interview for Tape Op a while back, and I think I recall him basically saying that the gear was a limiting factor until the Binarual era; that it was rarely feasible to capture an entire show prior to that.

I think too much is made of this fact. If fans really want to be anal and demand 100% complete shows like 2000 and on, they are being unrealistic. I'm sure there are more than a few 95% complete shows that could be released today. They should splice out the incomplete song or splice in an audience tape or desk recording to make it "complete", and get on with it already.

I'd rather have a tour compilation than a 90% complete show, but hey - whatever gets this stuff out!

I may lose my mind if people moan about Vault releases being "incomplete" again, as though it's just some arbitrary decision by the band.

But there are excellent crowd sourced recordings that they could use!!!!!

I have no quibbles with semi-complete shows, but it has been kind of frustrating that the most unique part of every show is always coincidentally where the dropout on the recording is -- "Push Me Pull Me," "Dead Man," the Soldier Field covers. Like, for once couldn't they do a tape flip during "Better Man?"

What if they announced next month that their 8/8 Seattle show will be this year's vault release?

I’ve been fooled like this before but I wonder if it’s not alpine valley 98?

Those pro shot videos that have now circulated are interesting and I’ve heard two professional sounding recordings on pj radio from this show now too. MFC and I believe tremor Christ

It was absolutely a different recording of it though. It was not the same mix/master from lo2l.

Nah, at this point, we're only a couple of years from the 10yr anniversary of those shows.

20 years, B.

2018-1998=20... not 10.
