Mr. Ament’s playing is the best part of NFY. Vitalogy might be his best album. Some of the most rewarding moments on key tracks NFY, Tremor Christ, Corduroy and Immortality are from Jeff.

Absolutely.
That's why I would like to once again return to my point about NFY needing to be a bass-riff driven song, which it sadly isn't. But could have been. And would have been BOMB

I’m down to hear that however… If you mean JA should be playing and driving the main riff instead of the more intricate pattern he does on record, I disagree. The bass notes on NFY elevate Ed’s chord progression.
