I disagree. I think they're a band who prioritizes touring. Well, touring after family, or whatever non-band stuff they have going on.
Releasing new material is secondary to playing live, because that appears to be what they enjoy the most. They create some new things, but it's just not as important to them. So, when something like RSD or the fan club single comes up, their primary response is just to slap a new cover on something they've already done and send it out, b/c that's the easiest way to honor an obligation like that without invading their priorities.
Then again, that might make them indistinguishable from a nostalgia band, so forget that I posted.

This is cool as a tie in to the Singles Reissue, but essential only for collectors and new fans. If I bought records, I'd pick it up.
