I got a friend who is a HUGE Betty White fan. She got a few texts throughout the day on Friday (people thought of her first when hearing the news) and I told her to count them up and we can compare it to how many I get the day Eddie Vedder dies.
Bold of you to assume you're going to outlive Vedder. He's very wealthy.

Yeah, Jack shines there. Also in No Code.
Perfect albums.
He’s a positive addition to every song on No Code. That’s an amazing achievement considering at the time he was the newest member of the greatest band on earth… However, the best moments on Mirror Ball are Jack Irons and Neil Young, and mostly, they are Jack Irons.

dont agree...Jeff is a monster on Mirrorball. The fucking groove with three guitars!!! And both Stone and Mike are very good too.

I actually meant to type Mirrorball. I agree Jeff is great on that record. Didn’t he say he was really sick while recording it? The whole band is great but Jack steals it. I wonder what other parts of the album were intended for Ed to sing if not for his absence during recording. The chorus of Song X seems like it was for EV.

On Throw Your Hatred Down I hear Stone left and NY right. Jeff, Jack and NY vox in middle and piano creeps in seamlessly each time. Maybe Mike is mixed-in or overdubbed for solo from :19 - :25 but I think that’s Stone too. The next 3 solos are NY on right side. This is one Pearl Jam’s best songs, ever.
