We were cleaning out our bedroom earlier and I came upon a box of unusual shape and size. It had no markings on it and had never been opened. So, I opened it to see what it was and it was the vinyl of the Christmas single with No Jeremy/ Falling Down.

one of my favorites. Yes, the size of that thing is unusual.

but maybe they would have just written better music instead, considering their first three albums are their best? I like No code a lot and various other songs throughout their career, but most would say their first three albums were by far their best, so who's to say what we get instead wouldn't have just been better?
I for one, don't think their first three albums are their best. So there's that. But even taking that away, you're right. Anything can happen, hypothetically. The likelihood of the music just getting better is equal to the likelihood of it getting worse. I for one, am grateful that we have a post-Dave A Pearl Jam. Four of my top 5 PJ albums don't have him drumming on them. And my all time favorite PJ song would not have happened at all without Jack Irons.
So though you are correct that it's possible, I for one, will take actual reality over the imagined Dave-A-verse.
