Pfft, I prefer
I have listened to both of these titles (granted, not on vinyl, however), and very much agree with aurynsdad. The second is the better compilation. My son got a fill of this between the ages of 2 and 12 months. We'll see if my new baby daughter (due in April) agrees or not. I will report back, as I know how critical this is.

Oh, OK ... well, if I understand most folks correctly, Backspacer is the worst. If for no other reason than Amongst the Waves sounds like crap on the vinyl. Of course, most people on this board thinks it sounds like crap all around, so who knows?

Rumor has it that none of the PJ Albums are actually mastered for Vinyl and have the same sound you would get on the CD. That being said - I haven't heard Binaural on Vinyl so I suggest you send it to me so I can double check.

Backspacer sounds the worst. The rest are pretty much identical to the CD mastering and difference you hear are just those inherent to the medium or because your turntable is hooked up to a better system.

Well, at least in the case of LB, it's clear that the mastering was done by different people (John Golden vinyl, Billy Joe Bowers cd). I don't know the deets on the other albums. I'll double-check Binaural for you when my vinyl copy arrives next week

It's about time we fully investigate this rumor. I've believed it for the most part since I don't hear much of a difference for most PJ albums between the two formats, including Binaural.
