I'm not sure why Adelaide 2009-11-17 was missing from the shortlist but I think it might be better than Seattle - the outro in particular is :nice:

Edit: Ed speaks over the intro which isn't ideal...

not keen on adelaide

If there were a better quality version of it I'd recommend All Those Yesterdays from Park City, Utah '98. One of the only versions I know where Ed screams TONIGHT! So great.

Not bad. I think it's between this and Bern 06.

Well I vote for this. 8-)

Matt's a little too obnoxious at points in the Bern version, and Ed gets a bit over extended with those vowels.

i like the 7-3-03 as well

I’ve found another winner from your home and native land

FAN-MADE PROJECT - NOT FOR SALE

It has been almost 13 years since the Green Habit Compilation was put together by the
Red Mosquito Forum community. As the band has now been together for double that length
of time, an update or sequel to this collection was well overdue. Hundreds of official
bootlegs later (including numerous 'vault' releases from the pre-bootleg era), every
song has been put up for review.

Red Mosquito forum users were invited to nominate and debate their favourite versions
of each song, for me to then go away and listen to each to make a final decision:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8556

There were a number of criteria for picking a definitive live version: sound quality,
correct lyrics, no guitar flubs, full band (if that is how the song was recorded in
the studio), electric rather than acoustic (again, if that is how the song was recorded),
and original era/drummer where possible (unless later versions had something really
special). Basically, if you had to represent the essence and power of each song through
one single live version - which would it be?

After a LOT of deliberation, this is what we came up with. Thank you to everyone for
your suggestions and for the discussion to date. This will be a constantly evolving
collection, so will be reviewed as new shows are played or released from the vault.
The best known source for each track has been used, and remastered by JWB only where
required to provide the smoothest possible listening experience.

Rival from Boston and Parting Ways from Lubbock are likely my suggestions, just on memory.

Agreed with the exception of NAIS, groundworks 2001

Gods' Dice should be from Jones Beach #1

Evacuation from Tampa (TB2K)

Rival from Boston

Parting Ways from Lubbock

Sleight Of Hand from Chicago

...those are easy just off the top of my head...

I could maybe be of some help with Binaural because years ago, I made a live mix of the album using what I felt were the best performances of the songs from the U.S. Legs of the 2000 tour. Worth checking out for reference. Maybe some of you will feel they deserve inclusion.

01 Breakerfall (10-14-00, Houston)
02 God's Dice (10-15-00, Houston)
03 Evacuation (08-06-00, Greensboro)
04 Light Years (08-18-00, Indianapolis)
05 Nothing As It Seems (08-18-00, Indianapolis)
06 Thin Air (08-25-00, Jones Beach)
07 Insignificance (10-22-00, Las Vegas)
08 Of The Girl (10-08-00, East Troy)
09 Grievance (09-01-00, Philadelphia)
10 Rival (10-17-00, Dallas)
11 Sleight Of Hand (08-20-00, Cincinnati)
12 Soon Forget (08-03-00, Virginia)
13 Parting Ways (10-18-00, Lubbock)

http://www.mediafire.com/file/697ot90o1 ... 20Live.rar

I'd advocate strongly for Of The Girl from East Troy (opened the show), Grievance from Philly (perfect performance, and also my first PJ show), and Parting Ways (the version from Touring Band 2000). Nothing As It Seems though, I'd go with the 2001 version from the PJ20 movie over the one from Indy I have listed here.

I was always partial to the NAIS from Mountainview in 1999. I was obsessed with this for years - even after the album came out.

Of the Girl from Benaroya is tasty, but I will def. check out the East Troy version to compare.
