Why is anyone disappointed that Mike-- from what I can tell, the dimmest and least-articulate guy in the band-- isn't actually writing a book?

Let him release his potato photo book. I bet there's some good stuff in there.

I think the only reason he's still in the band is that the other are prone to avoiding controversy/ and now it's just too late.
He doesn't fit in and basically can't keep up.

compared to Ed, Stone and Matt and probably bass and boom, he's in another league.

and that would be minor. and not the chord either. cuz that would be good.

but he's not.

Whoa! This seems a little over-the-top. I'd say he's gotten comfortable, maybe even lazy. His solos -- especially the live ones -- don't seem as inspired as they did up to 2000 or so. And his songwriting has taken a serious turn south. And his collaborations outside the band continue to suck. And all the finger pointing. And always hanging with Duff...

You know what? Never mind.

I'm much more excited for a photo book from Mike than an autobiography, which I can't imagine would reveal anything earth-shattering.
