To be fair, there was good precedent for thinking Brendan returning would be a good thing. I still think he produced their two best-sounding albums (No Code and Yield). No one really anticipated the road he'd lead them down (or would be complicit in helping them down).
And I'm pretty sure all of us who were excited to have him back, and credited him for their past success, were pretty reasonable and admitted we were wrong. It wasn't a random inconsistency of opinion, it was an evidence based rejection of a previous held belief.

6. I would like to see the guys tap more into the surf rock they explored on the 1996 hit Gremmie Outta Control. Bring Jimmy Shoaf back on drums, his style seems more suited for this approach.
I was super, super excited when BOB came back and I don't know if I ever came out here and admitted that I was dead wrong, so I am doing it now. As chud stated, we had good reason to be excited.
Back to the subject, with ten years left, maybe give complete control back over to Stone and Jeff. Let those guys write the songs. Call in Ed at the last minute. At this point, we just need his voice and then send him back to the islands with Boom.
Guys, i kind of think ed has wrote the best songs over the last two albums :\ Thats not saying much, but stone hasn't really tossed the band anything super great (for reasons unknown)
Ed and Jeff have been writing the best songs.
Stone - Up your game, bruh MIke - Stick to what you know Ed - Just go back to pretending you are cooler than you are and make somewhat better songs Jeff - You be you, because you are fantastic Matt - Write. Never stop writing Boom - Lol
