This was the first album I ever got the day it was released. While many of my friends hated this album, I was immediately drawn to it and that never wore off. Everything from the artwork to the music itself sparked my attention and still does to this day.

This was the first and very best "event" album release. Got it the day it came out, holed up in my room with a pair of headphones and the album artwork every day after school that week.
I kinda hated Vitalogy when it came out. I was so in love with Vs i didnt understand what happened....are they punk now? Where is McCready? Songs like Spin or Tremor Christ...it was weird at the time.
I kinda felt they were trying to be as punk and hardcore and i wanted groove.

i heard from some people on the inside that Ed tried to change the Not For You lyric from "seats just two" to "seats just four" for the Vitalogy reissue

I loved Vitalogy from drop, but when the Who You Are single dropped and I confidently played it for a room of people without checking first, I was pretty much baffled.

My relationship with Vitalogy -- especially early on -- is complex. It's all association and sense memory stuff. But once I was able to let go of the shit unfairly associated with the record, I've loved it ever since.
Now it's my second favorite album of all time by any artist.

I actually didn't expect anybody to know who that was when I thought of it as a username. What did surprise me is how many people don't look it up therefore they don't know it's Pearl Jam related.
I mean, I googled trag for crying out loud, you lazy bastards
