Quick Escape Lightning Bolt River Cross (though without that final verse Ed added to the Gigaton version. His Ohana version was total lyrical perfection, then he went all Springsteen on the record) 7 O'Clock Superblood Who Ever Said Life Wasted Gonna See My Friend Unthought Known Amongst the Waves

i think that last verse in river cross might be my favorite
glad to see lightning bolt show up on a list
Yes, Father's Son and MYM are up there too.
On River Cross, I guess the last verse is on message for the record. I suppose I just thought the song was about something else very specific when I first saw the video from Ohana - and that Ed really nailed it so beyond what I thought was possible (compare LBC). It was chilling and the first pj song in many years that I listened to for the lyrics. Maybe he didn't want to go there in the end or maybe I totally misinterpreted the original version, who knows. But that last verse is one of the few disappointments for me on Gigaton.

fair enough. I think I heard river cross only once or twice but I had no prior relationship with it. I know the vitaogy version of satan’s bed was a let down the first tome I heard it because I had listened to the atlanta version a hundred times prior and expected something crisper
