PEARL JAM ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, TOUR
Jan 29th, '13 by Ian J. Booker @ 8:39 AM
Hot on the heels of a highly suggestive pair of tweets last night from music gossip mill Antiquiet and veteran music journalist/band BFF Jonathan Cohen, aging grunge pioneers Pearl Jam have announced the "long-awaited" (Cohen's words, not ours) follow-up to their 2009 grunge-lite mini opus Backspacer. The new record, which is to feature guest vocals from Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, will be released on May 21, 2013 via Monkeywrench records and will be titled Ingrown Ocean, with a US tour to follow in the fall. The tracklist for Ingrown Ocean has been confirmed as follows:
1. No Good Reason
2. Ingrown Ocean
3. White House Steps
4. At High Tides
5. Ethical Arson
6. Islands
7. Under Surveillance
8. Written in the Stars
9. Bloodstained Congress
10. Leave it Behind
11. Shores of Adelaide
12. Dear Jill
For the fall US tour, the band says they will primarily be focusing on the Boston area, as they agree they often perform their best shows in that locale:

I also don't see why any group outside of 10c would give a shit to announce any new bootlegs or pj20 box set or anything. I also doubt a website like antiquity would know of any tour dates prior to any of the fans discovering and/or venue bookings leaking out. So I suppose the next logical thing is that yes, boom is leaving the band or taking up main vocal residency while Vedder explores a duet career with his smokeshow of a wife.
Still- I feel like Kat would be the one to announce it since the general music public doesn't give a shit.
Hopefully it's a lead single. And hopefully it's interesting and great
