What songs on Pearl Jam would you like to have heard recorded for other albums? What should have been on Pearl Jam?

Right Song/Wrong Album
Ten
Vs
Vitalogy
No Code
Yield
Binaural
Riot Act

Obviously most of these songs might have sounded better somewhere else.

A few to start:

Gone, Marker, and Parachutes: Yield

Life Wasted and Severed Hand: Vs.

World Wide Suicide: Vitalogy

Although I think Getaway would have been better on S/T.

Life Wasted on Vs. would maybe make me like that song, and Marker on Yield is a good call. I would prefer Gone to be darker and more brooding (like Sleight of Hand or You Are) so I'd like to hear Binaural and Riot Act versions of that one. And I think Army Reserve would work with Binaural too.

Life Wasted could use more going on. I think it would sound cool on Binaural, a la Breakerfall.

Yeah, Life Wasted really suffers from the brickwalled nature of S/T. I really like the song, but it just sounds anemic to me.

Yeah, Riot Act might be better for it than Binaural. It depends on who did the binaural recording/producing/mastering. I'd like it to be darker and richer sounding (think You Are and Sleight of Hand).

Army reserve is definitely a song that could benefit from a richer production.

I'd like to hear inside job on ten

Unemployable could work on Yield.

I think Gone could have worked on Riot Act. Less reaching and more defeat ala TMWay. Whatever I don't really care for either of those songs.

Army Reserve could work sonically on Binaural or Riot Act however I love it as it is.

Come Back needs warmer production too.

Come back clearly doesn't work well on S/T but I can't figure out where to put it.

I think Gone would have been terrible on Riot Act. It needs the little spark it has to be enhanced, not snuffed out.

that's one I would have liked on Riot Act, just to tone down the shine on it. There is a little too much righteous anger in a song about being powerless.

I love the shine on Unemployable.
It's probably the only song on the album where I feel the production fits well.

I hate it. It's one of the very few PJ songs were eddie's performance just tanks a song for me

Let's face it. Gone should have been a Vedder solo acoustic track.
