What songs on Yield would you like to have heard recorded for other albums? What should have been on Yield?

Ten
Vs
Vitalogy
No Code

I'm gonna get savaged for this, but it would have been cool to hear DTE with the really harsh and abrasive S/T sound.

Parachutes should have been on Yield instead of lowlight.

:gomez:

"Comatose" would have sounded better from the Yield sessions.

I like how it sounds on S/T. Marker, however, would have also been much improved on Yield

Based on the staggering success of these threads (4 pages for Ten, 6 for Vs, 3 for Vitalogy, 4 for No Code) I just want to apologize for my earlier rudeness and say you were completely justified in making multiple threads.

I think pretty much everything from the last 2-3 records would benefit from the production of Yield. It's layered but unobtrusive; you don't really hear the production and the see the seams in the way you do on No Code or Binaural (not that it works to the detriment of those records).

I really hope one day we get to hear the takes of Of The Girl and Partings Ways from the Yield sessions.

I bet Of the Girls is fairly different, but Parting Ways is almost the same but without strings.

Getaway would of been good on Yield

Ghost maybe

Marker In the Sand could be good. With Jack's drumming and the yield style production, the song would be less anthemic/triumphant, and more weird and tribal.

I was trying to learn the bass parts of brain of j yesterday so i was focusing on that song and it surprises me how good the band sounds. The production is flawless.
Yield needs more uptempo agressive songs, and yes comatose, getaway and specially severed hand would have been cool in this album-era.

As a pro-Jack Irons guy, I'll concede that Severed Hand is maybe the best argument for putting Matt behind the kit.
