love Jeff and glad you guys have been enthusiastic about this. Every time I watch a clip, I can't help but this of Jason Segal in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

He hasn't done any interviews since Sacramento.

I’ve been biting my tongue but I can’t do it any longer…

Can someone explain to me what makes this score any different from all the other tv mystery scores out there? I’m glad Jeff had a new creative outlet and I know for a fact that sort of is a blast to create. But the celebration around this soundtrack really eludes me.

I feel the same way every time someone raves about one of Johnny Greenwood's scores.

Really? He's one of the most idiosyncratic film composers out there IMO. I can't think of many scores like the one for Phantom Thread, which is better than the movie

100% really. But I'm also not really a film score guy. I have to watch a movie many, many, many times before that stuff really resonates with me, usually.

Greenwood’s scores are great, but he wears his influences firmly on his sleeve

Would those that know music say that Greenwood's scores are at all similar to Philip Glass?

The three big ones I hear are Alice Coltrane, Olivier Messiaen, and Can. He’s publicly acknowledged all three and once you check them out you’re kind of like “oh shit he’s just doing really great impressions of their work.”
