woah that is nuts. i would have called it a coincidence if it was any other random band, but the fact that the Mono Men were a prevalent band in Seattle before Vitalogy, kinda weird.

Same here - one of my favorite bands ever. Metal Circus through [/i]Flip Your Wig[/i] (basically their entire SST catalog) is perhaps the greatest run of music by an indie band during the '80s. I can name a handful of good challengers, but they'd get my vote.

The stuff I love most is on Vitalogy, but I don't think it's quite as consistent album as some of their other albums. For example, I rarely sit through "Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me" instead of skipping it.
