The Ramones 30th Anniversary show where he did Sheena & Miracles was on 9/12, not 12/9 in 2004. Also the performance was with Tim Armstrong, Brett Gurewitz, Daniel Rey, C.J. & Marky Ramone. Kinda "The Ramones", kinda not.

One of the most fun gigs I've ever been to. Johnny Ramone died like 3 days later. :cry:

Thanks heaps for picking that up swan - discs, notes and artwork now updated.

Anyone who downloaded Disc 5-7 last week should download the new versions as I forgot to include checksums.

I know it's not really "The Ramones", but I went with that for simplicity's sake. That's cool you got to go to that gig, didn't realised Johnny passed so soon after

Now that this set is done, any ideas for other sets? I think you mentioned demos being "left off for another set"? How about a set of unreleased covers, improvs and live jams that have never appeared on studio albums, compiled from live soundboard sources?

I think a good rule of thumb would be is it downloadable from an official source or not. If it's just streaming, then it was merely "broadcast" and not released.

I'm currently working on a similar B-Sides & Rarities project for Radiohead, but after that I plan to update 'Stray Cats' and make it a 2CD set in the format of Lost Dogs, which will include unofficially released demos etc left off this official release project.

Exactly. I think the only TV appearances on here are the MTV Unplugged tracks, Animal (MTV VMAs - from bonus cassette with 'Go' single) and Alive (Jool Holland - from officially released DVD).

I am also planning a 2CD set of PJ TV appearances, hopefully remastered by you-know-who to sound less 'broadcast-y' and more 'official release-y' :thumbsup:

I actually find that by the time I've finished a project I'm so completely burnt out on the music that I have little desire to actually listen to them!
It generally takes a few weeks of timeout before I can go back to a project and really appreciate it

Presenting a footnote to The Complete B-Sides & Rarities Collection:

'For The Serious Collector'

These completist-only discs bring together all the tracks you never knew you didn't give a f&*k about:

- The version of Black with the cut-in intro!
- The version of Alive with the alternate alternate guitar solo!
- The 'clean edits'!
- The 'covers by others'!
- The songs that (supposedly) feature Ed on backing vocals!
- The 20-second throw-away with Ed's daughter!
- The 16-minute version of Long Road with Nursat Fateh Ali Khan!

The PJ and EV discs are housed together as bonus discs, however they are numbered to sit inconspicuously at the arse-end of their respective tracklists where they belong.

This hereby completes this insane project. Once I'm sure there are no further typos or bugs, I will consolidate it all for the torrentarians :thumbsup:

Big thanks to everyone who contributed, whether it was suggesting a track, sending me a rip, or pointing out a typo.

Extra special thanks to JWB for his vinyl rips, expert remastering where necessary, and general audio quality control. It's been one hellava journey mate - this project is so much better than it would have been without your input, so I (and I'm guessing most here) really appreciate all your time and effort :nice:
