D4 Round 2af: Cold Confession vs. Love Reign O'er Me

Cold Confession is great, but LROM is my favorite cover, and Eddie just sounds insane.

Hmm. Cold Confession is right in my wheelhouse and I feel weird voting for a cover.

That being said - LROM is pretty goddamn great

We've basically hit the point in this thing where covers are going to automatically lose out to originals, for me. LROM is a fantastic song and probably PJ's best cover. But it's still a cover.

Cold Confession.

I absolutely love CC and everything that is about, but the VH1 performance of LROM may be one of the greatest performances they have ever done.

if cold confession wins I won't feel in the least bit disappointed.

Fuck covers, and Cold Confession is really great.

Tough match up, but I have to go with CC. LROM is a fantastic cover, though.

LROM is execrable, CC is great. Easy choice.

"Love Reign O'er Me" is impressive inasmuch as it's always somewhat impressive to see someone create an exact replica of something which is virtually indiscernible from the original, but it's perhaps the most dispiriting example of PJ's lack of imagination as a cover band.

"Cold Confession."

When it comes to LROM, anything that PJ, including Ed, accomplishes is solely based on the fact that Roger Daltrey and The Who wrote a great song.
