Gigaton has a few songs that are pretty unique. DoTC is the standout, but don't sleep on Seven O'Clock, River Cross, Buckle Up, and Comes Then Goes. Even the more traditional "rockers" have unusual structures and arrangements.

First 4-song sequence is all I listen to on this

I wonder if Josh will be used on the next album sounds like this might have been a onr-night stand for the band to rebuild their creative confidence

I mean, this is perfect. Either I’m picking up what you’re putting down or that was an amazingly coincidental turn of phrase.

That said, I like all the songs on this one, and it’s alright.

From a 4 to a 3 but it won't drop again. I was just caught up in new pearl jam.

I still listen to Dance, Whoever Said, Seven O'clock

This is still the Pearl Jam record I figure to listen to the most from this point forward.

idk if i can give this a 4 because the back half of the album is a bunch of duds but relative to PJ's albums post-Riot Act yes it is a 4-5er

i think 'river cross' and 'comes than goes' are just as good as the first 4 tracks, minus 'dance' which is their best song ever. and by ever, i mean since 1998

I would honestly be surprised if I ever listen to this entire album again.

i like river cross but i prefer the Ed solo live versions that were out there before the album

the album version doesn't have the same level of intensity

and feels a bit overproduced

but yes it's a decent track

and yes i don't think i would ever listen to this entire album again

Yeah River Cross album version is ridiculously overproduced. It was like they had to find an instrument for every band member to play when all it needed was the pump. And the less said about Matt's contribution the better.

Every once in a while I'm slightly tempted to go back and read through the SBWF thread and watch most of us gradually realize that, yeah, it's a good fucking song. The uncertainty, the slow dawning...

This album actually has not aged well for me. A few songs I really love, but it is only probably 3 of them. The rest I skip.

Many of us here would be surprised if you listened to any entire Pearl Jam album ever again.
