The Temple of the Dog tour was certainly a recent high point for the band sans-Eddie. They clearly were enjoying the music together and seemed to love the covers and "new" music they were playing. I think the TotD LA Forum show that I saw from the 3rd row was probably the best Pearl Jam show I've ever experienced. And Eddie Vedder was not in the group.
Do I remember that an album of new temple songs had been mentioned? Don't discount how much it effected some of the PJ guys when Cornell died.
Whatever chances they had to get some new creative energy coming out of it got suddenly zapped in the most tragic way.

The TotD show in San Fran was by far the best Pearl Jam related show I've seen post-2006.

I saw TotD at the Garden. They were incredible and I sang my lungs out as much to their songs as the MLB songs and covers . It was undoubtedly a great time.
However, nothing tops a Pearl Jam show, even to this day. Seeing them in 2016 at the Garden as well was exceptional and well that Garden show in 2010 is bar none the best show I have ever seen from anyone. While I do think Pearl Jam was at their live peak from 2003-2006, their shows continue to amaze and excite me. I just hope there’s more and really just more music. For all the bickering and pissing on them here at times, they really are the greatest f—-ing Band on the planet and I still can’t wait to hear more all these years later.

yeah, im sure cornell´s death had something to do. It also seemed to give Stone a purpose in the new album. He seems focused to do a great album and im exited for it.
Im alright with them finding the work flow for this one. Not rushing anything.
