This was actually happening about a week ago on another board I frequent. General consensus was something about Cornell's wife killing him and Vedder not being involved but knowing the truth.

We've heard that one before... something about Chris going to leave her and she went crazy

"Can't Deny Me" is a song by the American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, released as the first single from their upcoming as-yet-untitled eleventh studio album. The song was released on March 10, 2018 as a digital download exclusively on Pearl Jam's Ten Club fan club. "Can't Deny Me" peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart.
Has a band - now or in recent memory - ever announced a forthcoming album, released a single from it, and then made fans wait over a year (and counting) for the album? I am curious.
Chinese Democracy is the closest I can think of, but they never released a song from the album years ahead it, I think. I dunno. This is all kind of mismanaged.
Yes. Glassjaw.
But that seems more excusable. I know nothing about that band, but just did a quick search and looks like the delay was more of a fight w/ a record label: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worship_and_Tribute
I’m pretty sure LV was referring to their album Material Control which was released November 2017. The first single “New White Extremity” came out January 2016.
But that’s part of being a Glassjaw fan, we waited longer for that than the new fucking Tool record.

Agreed, that and some actual real rumors that turn out to be true.
I recall years ago, we had some folks pretty plugged into what was happening w/ the band and broke some news here. I feel like we've lost all of our contacts and resources.
The only current one I can think of is Dime and his connection to Glen Hansard.

Or worse....there is just NO news...There is nothing happening with the band...

It’s been said before but I think the death of Chris Cornell clearly lays heavily on all band members.
For a hot second I thought this meant that Pearl Jam, collectively, committed murder.
Haha, apologies. Didn’t mean to raise the alarm.
Somebody correctly observed the elusive 11th should’ve been in the can before Cornell’s passing, but I do think Eddie is personally struggling. Not a conspiracist but I’m sure most of us would be feeling bad if a close friend had passed away during a time where the relationship was in flux.
I’m sure given this bands importance the next one might be a ‘return to form’....

You forgot bodysnatcher who I already told upthread to go run into McCready at a record store again. He's our only hope someone send him a Leia hologram or whatever the fuck that was.
But, really, in what world does a 6-7 year wait not create a GIGANTIC disappointment? 80% of this board was disappointed in LB for Christ's sake, this is going to be cataclysmic and I already hate RM for whatever the reaction to this is ultimately going to be, including my own.

Didn’t post it last week, but about 80% sure I crossed paths with Jeff on our bikes last weekend. Considering where we crossed and the direction he was coming from, he could have been coming from PJ HQ.

So they’re writing and recording. For sure.
This is the kind of high quality rumor and speculation we've come to rely upon. Thank God snatcher lives in the Pacific NW.

What time was it?
About 5pm on a Saturday
New album confirmed.
I’m masturbating, but nothing is happening. Thanks, PJ.

HQ is ... on 4th? Kinda near Spitfire or the Cinerama? What intersection?
