I loooove 7 O Clock so fucking much....love what Jeff is doing in all the song, and those guitarssss
There's something that happens at the 3:40 mark ("luminous thoughts...") that I am not sure how to describe- the rhythm changes slightly, maybe there's more to it, but it practically brings tears to my eyes every time. A sincerely beautiful moment that really loads up that "fire in the engine room" lyric.

yeah, its a special song. I love it musically, and there are very good moments lyrically too. But overall, its a monster of a song, the band is firing in all cylinders and it shows.
the one i dont care these days is comes then goes...which is a song i really like and im impressed and moved by ed's delivery, but i dont need to listen to it

I feel the same way about Comes Then Goes. It should be half as long as it is.

The live versions of some of the tracks are a bit better but all this mid-tempo shit about checking your heart-rate and wearing your seatbelt is as bad as anything on Backspacer.
