General consensus here seems to be that No Code to Riot Act era albums were boring plodding pretentious messes, so I hope they continue to bring the rock in album 11 like they did with ST-LB.
If I may use a Star Wars analogy:
Original trilogy (highly regarded masterpieces seen as benchmarks of the genre): Ten - Vitalogy Prequel trilogy (boring garbage that only hardcore fans on niche internet boards enjoy): No Code - Riot Act Sequel trilogy (a return to form): ST - LB (and onwards??)
Binaural is the Jar Jar Binks of Pearl Jam

All kidding aside, has there been any indication that they've started working on a new record? I don't recall any reports or anything that they've been in the studio, but I could have missed something.

What exactly is PJ's "form"?
rock 'n roll sweatpants
From Pitchfork's Lightning Bolt review:
Quote:
Pearl Jam on record have essentially been reduced to the rock ‘n’ roll version of wearing sweatpants: they’ve given up trying to impress anyone, so they may as well be comfortable.
