This just might be my favorite record from them. I felt this way when it was released and it never changed. It just feels like a time period long gone.
We should hang out.
This album is on regular rotation for me. It was "new" PJ for me but still good PJ. After BS and LB were released, I appreciated this album even more, because I thought (hoped) they would maintain this direction.

i’ve been listening to the BoB remixes recently. this is a really good record. better than i sometimes credit. really the only song i just dont care for is unemployable
Unemployable might be my favourite on the record after all these years.

Hearing Severed Hand on SNL was such a cool treat and all-time great PJ moment for me. It sounded so good and it was nice to hear a heavy stomper from them after the Binaural/RA era (albums I still like and appreciate!). Ditto "Grievance" on Letterman. Hearing a new PJ song for the first time on TV...probably won't happen like that ever again.

Grievance on Letterman was an all-timer....though it did cause me to be immediately disappointed in what we ended up getting on Binaural.

As I go through the tracks I put together for the live self-titled, I learned that the ‘08 bootlegs sound awful. Like cassette Walkman recordings from the early 90s. How did these end up on Spotify of all the tour recordings!?

Of the live stuff I picked out, the better sounding songs were from later that tour. Maybe the recordings were just better. Come Back from DC in 08 was pretty fantastic. I pulled a lot from the Florida shows in that tour and the audio quality is just poor, but at least I know in my head that the self-titled songs were awesome live.

And why is the 2005 Canadian tour not on Spotify?!

that's arguably their best tour. I have it at number 2
YOU DON'T HAVE TO RANK EVERY. SINGLE. THING!
1. THING! 2. EVERY 3. SINGLE
then there's a bit of a drop off. the punctuation really helps differentiate those words
4. YOU 5. HAVE 6. DON'T
Four and Five are pretty interchangeable. I kind of think using DO NOT instead of a contraction would have better communicated your outrage, so I am pretty comfortable with that at 6
