The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

It's just tickets to a rock concert, you know.
Also I'm pretty sure the word equality appears in the Declaration of Independence.

Stip...no, I never had a guarantee before, but never had trouble securing fabulous seats on back-to-back nights in Boston. I think the odds of hitting two shows in the same city are more difficult now.
that's true. But I'd argue that the odds of definitely getting one have improved. Having been shut out of my city before, and having a number pretty close to yours, I see this as a better system. Plus it is much more user friendly for the fans as I simply am no longer at a place in my life where I can devote 6 hours to hitting f5 and trying to win tickets. it actually rewards this particular long time member.

I can't get a ticket to that show.
I really wanna email 10club and ask if its the left flag or right flag in the picture? because I know for a fact its not the one on the right, as i was nearly knocked over from the douchebags who ripped it down after night 2 (guy standing on another guys shoulders and they just barely reached it)
i really did like that flag though and always thought they should have auctioned off those? or sold smaller reprints... liked the simplisticness of it

Why would you ask a question if you already know the answer?

This is probably true since most people will likely choose their local show as #1 because they are scared their only option to see a show is travel. BUT, if you live in the north east or the west coast and you don't get your #1, you are SOL for 10c tickets. It's kind of a backdoor to forcing people into getting tickets to just one show. I'd still prefer to be in charge of my own fate, but I had a good run over the last decade, so I won't complain.

We're basically in agreement here, but assign different value on what we want.
You place more value on a system that increases your odds of securing seats to at least one show.
While I place more value on the ability to secure great seats on consecutive nights in the same city (I've done in the past), which is a lot harder do to with this system.
I'll now pay $500 to $700 for a great seat via StubHub to make sure I get both shows. Like the other poster said, I did have a great run, but all good things come to an end or, in this case, change.

I just got a letter from my accountant stating that I'd end up paying about 5 percent more in taxes this year because of Obamacare, so, in a rare instance, I made a political thought/rant on this board - something I am not interested in repeating all too often - especially when speaking about concert tickets.
I've never had what I would call "great" seats to a Pearl Jam show. I've had fine seats, serviceable seats. And I've always enjoyed myself. This change doesn't mean anything to me because I don't usually do multiple nights, and I resigned myself long ago to never having great seats.

I have a feeling I'll be getting this a lot with future tours.

It's all I have ever gotten from 10c lottos, so I'm used to.

Goddamn you are selfish. How dare you want to continue the successful 10c ticket experience you have had for nearly a decade. How dare you, sir.

I was kidding bro. I'll take F5 any day.
Interesting post from the pit:

In reply to an emailed question, the Ten Club cited Boston, New York, and Philly as examples of higher demand markets where members could only enter for 1 night of a 2 night run.
That makes things even more interesting. And ridiculous.
