Feel like I say this every year, but this song features some of my favorite Matt Cameron drumming ever

5 stars

It might be their best cover.

Other than the live version of The Real Me from the VH1 Rock Honors, I concur.

Last Kiss, this, and the Real Me are all up there.

Crazy Mary circa 2000 > all others covers.

For studio covers, I think this one edges out Last Kiss at the finish line.

Live covers, I agree that OG Crazy Mary, VH1 Who show & Atlanta 94 Sonic Reducer are the gold standard.

Also Soldier Field Everyday People & Let My Love Open the Door are all-timers.

I like this better than everything listed so far. I am consistently surprised that those note-for-note, karaoke-ish Who covers from that VH1 thing are rated as highly as they are -- to me something like this is just in a totally different class.

I dunno what you guys are hearing. Its a weird song. Eddie's vocals are warbling all over the place and he's flat a lot. The background music doesn't sound like Pearl Jam and so it seems a sort of generic song to do a cover of. The background vocals are bad. It never really connects as a whole entity. I dunno it sounds like a half-assed cover and I don't even know the original song. Its just they don't really seem to put a pearl jam spin on it and Eddie's voice doesn't suit whatever genre they're going for.

They should have started the song earlier.

3 stars. Good, but they don't stray much from the original, and I'd rather listen to that

Wait wasn’t Last Kiss a live soundcheck recording?
