PJ 2014 Annual Single

Fri September 26, 2014 5:15 pm

As an early gift to Ten Club Members, Pearl Jam has shared Eddie Vedder’s performance of “Imagine” from his July 18th concert in Meco, Portugal.

“Imagine” will be one side of the annual Ten Club single to be delivered to all 2014 Ten Club members digitally. Physical copies will be mailed to Analog Members when they are finished.

To download “Imagine” go to pearljam.com, login to your membership account, and go to My Account, then choose My Membership. The download will be available to current Members on this page.

Beginning Tuesday, September 30th, “Imagine” will be available at iTunes. Proceeds from those sales will go to Heartbeat.fm, an organization that creates opportunities and spaces for young Israeli and Palenstinian musicians to work together, hear each other, and amplify their voices to influence the world around them.

I'M ANALOG

My t-shirt says so.

Great part about that t-shirt is that from the right angle it can be read as:

I'M ANAL

I'M A LOG

I'M AN OG

Wait...

If you're releasing this to help raise money for a cause, why give it away for free to the people who are most likely to buy it?

I can't think of anything lamer than covering fucking "Imagine". It suits current Pearl Jam to a T.

It makes sense to you to give away thousands and thousands of free downloads of a charity single?

They couldn't possibly have found a song for the holiday single AND a song for the charity release, Lament.

That guy is the best.

Y'know who I miss though? That dude who said he had figured out a mathematical formula to show which Pearl Jam album was best. I can't remember his name. He was from rural Illinois, and told the story about his girlfriend asking him if "Jam Pearl" was his favorite band.

I don't know what to think anymore. I can't believe it's still going on after Ed covered Imagine in the first place.

I know! We've had to redesign our whole world politics sequence

ah yes, "Imagine", the noblest anthem with which bourgeois hippiecrits drape themselves in the protective glory of their inflated sense of moral superiority.

do-nothing liberalism's finest rally cry

conjures imagery of a british millionaire spending his days sitting around in one of the most aristocratic buildings on central park west ordering room service and complaining about stuff.

so unique!

so profound!

so appropriate for the lead singer of Pearl Jam LLC at this stage in his lifecycle

imagine there's just gift cards
it isn't hard to do
nothing to save, just buy more
merch merch merch merch merch merch merch
imagine all the T-Bills, maturing day by daaaay

you might say I am a poser, oooh OOOhhhh
but I'm not the only one
maybe some day, you'll join us, OOOOhhh
and in-vest in our hedge-fund

what other brave visionary will stand up on the bridge of Larry Ellison's yacht to play ostrich-egg bocce ball in the name of peace ?

take the ostrich-egg bocce challenge for peace!
