Let's not kid ourselves. Second account voting has always been around.

in a number of the past tournaments we did the voting in threads on RM, so you couldn't really tool around with second accounts. Not as easily, anyway.

?

Instead of having a poll people would just post their votes. It was done that way specifically to make sure people couldn't use second accounts as easily. But I don't have the time to tally all that shit anymore. It took forever.

Perhaps, and it's stronger than ever this year.

The mods may have a better idea but I find it hard to believe that anyone would bother.

I'm kinda curious to know how many active posters have voted in the Tournament

there were nine more votes in the insigificance/immortality match than there were in Tremor Christ/Corduroy. It's a bit odd.

I haven't voted in every match, particularly as we get closer to the end.

Just checked: I voted in the Immortality/Insignificance match yet didn't for Corduroy/Tremor Christ as I was happy for either of the latter to advance.

So that's one person.

As much as I love Insignificance and all things Binaural, I cant vote against Corduroy.

I really don't think it's that odd. The Tremor Christ/Corduroy matchup wasnt nearly as close, so people may have ony voted in the one where it seemed their vote would matter.

If you were going to use a second account to vote, wouldn't you vote in both matches so as to avoid this suspicion?

It has a sense of sour grapes about it too; "I don't agree with the result so there must be something questionable about it."

Unless there's actual evidence of dummy votes, I think the whole conversation is kind of absurd.

Was it ever clearly stated that this is for best song and not personal favourite song? Or whatever criteria each voter brings to the table?
